Yatzer did another flavorful post, this time on the ultimate, most quintessential steam punk coffee shop, or retail shop, I ever did see-Truth, in Cape Town, South Africa, designed by Haldane Martin. Highly industrial, showing every nuts, bolts, and all the fittings in between, throw in a vintage gas mask for good measure and you’ve got yourself the perfect venue to serve up a cup of Truth branded coffee. The shop prides itself on roasting beans in a vintage cast iron drum, on full display to enamored guests, that essentially gives the brew a stronger flavor than others brewed in steel drums. Along side sumptuous leather booths, not commonly seen in most coffee shops, and the detailed showcase of hidden mechanical parts, drinking coffee here is like savoring sips at a factory-cum-coffee speakeasy during a pugilistic era where coffee is in limited supplies. It transforms the experience in sight, sound, and taste, a complete relinquishing of the senses to the character of Truth.
Would flying to South Africa be too far of a search for the Truth?
